Sleepless Prose.we were soaking in cafeeine stained air and my limbs felt as fragile as the day you left. i was standing on the sidewalk by our yellow house but i willed myself not to turn around, and i watched you through the blinds, something you would never know. and when i found the painting i made you, left behind, i threw myself into the safeholds of my bed, banishing everything in my selfish bones to forget you.
but this is not the recollection of your (in)decisions, just my decent back into the living. because i've been laughing, loud and careless, i've been forgetting how to appear happy and just feel it...feel the swells in Sleepless Prose.
